Free Legal Clinic
January 1, 2018
Mondays
5:30PM to 9:00PM

Instructor: Volunteer Lawyers

First Mondays of Each Month (June, July & August)

Doors Open: 5:30pm (Volunteer Lawyers available at 6:30pm)

Contact: Please stop by the clinic and volunteers will assist you.

Over the years, the number of people who wished to see our volunteer lawyers has been much greater than the number of volunteers. In fact, the demand has been so great that it has been very difficult to meet with everyone who hoped to discuss their needs with a lawyer.

In order to better meet the needs of our visitors and our volunteers, everyone who wishes to meet with a lawyer will be required to come to the clinic, in person, to complete an informational form.

Your informational form will be reviewed by our volunteers to determine whether your needs fall within the scope of the services that the clinic offers. You will be contacted to let you know whether or not we are able to help you.

Subject to volunteer expertise and availability, consultations in the following areas are provided:

·         Minor criminal matters (including sealing of criminal records)

·         Civil protection orders (CPO)

·         Landlord-tenant disputes (no evictions)

·         Micro-entrepreneurial services

·         Mediation

Note: No divorce or custody cases.

If your request is one that falls within the above guidelines, then you will be contacted and given an appointment to consult with a lawyer. You will then receive consultation and advice to help you better understand your legal rights and how to help yourself.

The Vineyard Free Legal Clinic provides legal assistance for those who cannot afford a lawyer. (Low income individuals at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.)

In exceptional cases, a lawyer may agree to represent you. Representation depends on the nature of your legal issue and the expertise of our volunteer lawyers.

Want to get started in worship leading? Does your group or church have musicians, but few training opportunities? Do you want to mature in your musicianship and ability to help others worship our Lord? Join us for a 4-week Saturday workshop on how to play together using lead sheets. This is not a class on how to play, but on how to play TOGETHER with the best focus. Bring your friends and family! We can include keyboard, guitar, rhythm, and some band/orchestra instruments. Vocal instruction will be limited to players who want to sing and play simultaneously. Practice between meetings is required! Songs, some rhythm instruments (limited) and keyboards are included. Bring your own instrument, music stand or drumsticks, please! Those who have attended Kids Worship Training Club will find this is ideal to continue what you have learned there. We will focus on worship music, and class will include a brief devotion and prayer time about being a conduit for the Holy Spirit as we worship our King. By the end of the workshop, you will be ready to participate in worship at Vineyard, your small group or at your own church! The fee includes the two-hour class time, and the materials fee is higher to include the time needed to arrange and print parts as needed. Email me with questions, as this is a flexible class, and will develop as I see on who is interested.
